Rezeca Renewables installed a 66.30 kWp solar PV system on a Good Class Bungalow in the Upper Bukit Timah area of District 21, Singapore. The system is built from 130 Aiko 510 Wp full-black panels laid across the home's tile roof.

The defining feature of this project is the use of full-black Aiko modules on a traditional tile roof. Full-black panels, with black frames, black backsheets and dark cell surfaces, present as a single clean, uniform plane rather than the silver gridlines and pale backsheets of conventional panels. On a Good Class Bungalow, where roofline and street presentation matter, this lets a large array sit discreetly against the tiles. For homeowners weighing solar against the look of their home, it is a useful reference point: a 66 kWp system need not compromise a premium roofline.

Tile roofs call for a bracket-and-rail mounting system anchored to the roof structure beneath the tiles. Done with care, this is fully watertight and long-lasting, and the workmanship around each anchor point is what protects the roof. At 66.30 kWp, the system is estimated to generate in the region of 82,000 kWh of clean electricity a year, enough to offset a large share of the energy-intensive demands of a GCB, from multi-zone air conditioning and pool filtration to EV charging. Surplus generation is exported to the grid under Singapore's Simplified Credit Treatment (SCT) scheme, earning credits on the homeowner's SP Group bill. As with every Rezeca project, the design was endorsed by a Licensed Electrical Worker and all submissions to SP Group were handled on the homeowner's behalf, the process we set out in how solar approvals work in Singapore.

This installation sits among Rezeca's GCB work across Singapore's established enclaves, including Leedon Park (40.05 kWp, tile roof), Cluny Hill (89.25 kWp, metal roof) and Garlick Avenue (60.3 kWp, metal roof).

The installation was completed by Rezeca's in-house team of solar engineers and WSH-certified installers, with all electrical work endorsed by a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) and registered with SP Group. Rezeca has installed solar across Singapore since 2009, with more than 1,500 installations and 45+ MWp to date.
