1. Who we are
Rezeca Renewables Pte Ltd (UEN 200920276K) designs and installs solar PV systems for homes and businesses in Singapore. In this policy, "Rezeca" means Rezeca Renewables Pte Ltd.
This policy explains how Rezeca collects, uses and shares personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). It covers the website rezeca.com, Rezeca's social media pages and ads, WhatsApp, phone and email, site visits, and the services Rezeca provides after installation.
2. Personal data Rezeca collects
- When you enquire on rezeca.com, a Facebook or Instagram lead form, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone number, email, postal code or address, property type, how you heard about Rezeca, and your message.
- When Rezeca visits your site or prepares a quote: your property address, roof and electrical details, photos of the site, and electricity usage you share.
- When you sign a contract or receive service: billing details, contract and payment records, system and warranty records, and maintenance bookings.
- When you visit rezeca.com or see Rezeca's ads: pages viewed, device and browser data, IP address, cookie and ad identifiers, and the ad or link that brought you to the site.
Rezeca does not ask for your NRIC number on its website, forms or ads.
3. How Rezeca uses your personal data
Rezeca uses your personal data to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit
- Prepare your solar proposal and quotation
- Install your system and apply for the approvals it needs
- Provide maintenance, warranty support and after-sales service
- Send updates about your project, bookings and payments
- Keep its records and meet legal, tax and regulatory duties
- Improve its website, services and advertising
Rezeca sends marketing messages, such as promotions or newsletters, only where you have agreed to receive them. Rezeca checks the Do Not Call Registry before sending marketing messages to Singapore phone numbers, as the PDPA requires. You can opt out at any time (section 7).
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
rezeca.com uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure Rezeca's ads:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure site visits and which ads lead to enquiries.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) records page views, form submissions and clicks on WhatsApp or phone links, so Rezeca can measure its ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
When you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to Rezeca so the team can contact you.
Rezeca may share a hashed (encrypted) version of a customer's email or phone number with Meta or Google to stop showing ads to existing customers, or to reach people with similar interests. Rezeca does this only for people who have been told about it, and you can ask to be left out (section 7).
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram and Google account settings.
5. Who Rezeca shares your personal data with
Rezeca does not sell your personal data. It shares only what is needed with:
- Service providers that run its website, forms, customer records, messaging, email, booking and payments
- Advertising and analytics platforms (Meta and Google), as described in section 4
- Installation partners and subcontractors working on your project
- Equipment manufacturers and distributors, to register and claim your warranties
- SP Group, to apply for your solar system's grid connection and electricity account set-up, and other authorities such as the Energy Market Authority, where approvals or the law require it
- Professional advisers, such as auditors and lawyers
These parties may use your data only for the work Rezeca gives them.
6. Overseas transfer, security and retention
Some of Rezeca's service providers, including Meta and Google, store data outside Singapore. Rezeca uses providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Rezeca protects your data with access controls, so only staff and partners who need it can see it.
Rezeca keeps your data only as long as it needs to:
- Enquiries that do not become a project: 2 years from the last contact
- Customers: for as long as your system's warranties and service last, plus 5 years for tax and accounting records
After that, Rezeca deletes the data or makes it anonymous.
7. Your choices
You can ask Rezeca to:
- Show you the personal data it holds about you, and how it was used in the past year
- Correct data that is wrong or out of date
- Stop sending you marketing messages
- Leave you out of customer lists shared with ad platforms
- Stop using your data altogether (withdraw consent)
Send your request to the Data Protection Officer (section 8). Rezeca will reply within 30 days. If you withdraw consent, Rezeca may no longer be able to provide some services, such as warranty support, and will tell you what that means before acting on it.
