Rezeca Volunteers Join CWA's Caregiver Engagement Day

On Saturday, 12 September 2026, five members of the Rezeca team gave up part of their weekend to volunteer at the Caregiving Welfare Association's (CWA) Caregiver Engagement Day, one of the community events held during Caregiving Week.

A hands-on day with seniors and caregivers

Leslie Tay, Rachel, Su Eaindra Htun, Joaquin Armonio and Franki turned up in their Rezeca shirts and got stuck in wherever they were needed. They helped run the activities, made lip balm alongside the participants and assisted with the day's programme. When it was time for the mass exercise, the team happily joined in too.

Why caregivers matter

Caregiving is quiet, constant work, and days like this are a chance for caregivers and the seniors they look after to take a break, try something new and enjoy each other's company. It was heartening to see Rezeca's volunteers bring energy and warmth to the day, and to spend time with a community the team has come to know well.

Part of an ongoing relationship with CWA

This was not Rezeca's first visit. Rezeca has volunteered regularly with CWA seniors since November 2025, and earlier in 2026 the team introduced seniors to AI and ran mosaic coaster workshops for seniors and their caregivers. Each session has led to the next, and Rezeca is grateful to CWA for continuing to welcome the team.

A long-standing commitment to the community

Since 2009, Rezeca has installed more than 1,500 solar systems, totalling 45+ MWp, across Singapore. Giving back has been part of that work throughout:

• Off-grid solar for remote village schools in Laos (2014 to 2019), with the YMCA and NTU
• A 5.4 kWp solar system for a rural school in Chiang Mai, Thailand (2025)
• Solar panel sponsorship for Project Solar Proa, a wind-solar hybrid vessel developed at NUS
• Hands-on solar workshops for students and parents, building solar-powered fans and cars (2026)
• Ongoing volunteering with CWA seniors and caregivers, from AI sessions and mosaic workshops to Caregiving Week
