29.60 kWp solar PV system on a Good Class Bungalow at Swettenham Road, Singapore. Standing seam metal roof with multi-array layout. Commissioned 2022. 25-year warranty.

Rezeca Renewables installed a 29.60 kWp solar PV system on a Good Class Bungalow at Swettenham Road, one of Singapore's most prestigious residential addresses in the Nassim–Tanglin enclave. The system was commissioned in 2022.

The expansive standing seam metal roof required a multi-array design approach. As the aerial photograph shows, our engineers distributed panels across several distinct roof sections — working around ridgelines, roof penetrations, and varying orientations — to capture maximum solar irradiance without compromising the home's architectural lines. Standing seam metal roofs are ideal for solar in Singapore: the clamp-on mounting system requires no roof penetration, eliminating any risk of leaks and preserving the roof warranty.

At 29.60 kWp, this system generates an estimated 37,000 kWh of solar electricity per year — comfortably powering a large household with pool filtration, air conditioning across multiple floors, an EV charger, and the energy-intensive lifestyle that comes with a property of this scale. Surplus energy is exported to the grid under Singapore's grid sell-back scheme, earning the homeowner credits on their SP Group electricity bill. With estimated annual savings of approximately S$12,000, the system pays for itself within 3 years while the panels continue generating clean energy for 25+ years under manufacturer warranty.

For homeowners considering solar panels for a Good Class Bungalow in Singapore, larger roof areas typically support systems of 30–90 kWp — significantly reducing or fully eliminating electricity bills. Properties in GCB areas such as Swettenham Road, Nassim Road, Cluny Hill, and Leedon Park are among the most suitable for rooftop solar in Singapore due to their generous roof spans and minimal shading from neighbouring structures.

The installation was carried out by Rezeca's in-house team of solar engineers and WAH-certified workers with Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) approval. All regulatory submissions to SP Group were handled by Rezeca on the homeowner's behalf.

This project is one of over 1,000 residential solar installations completed by Rezeca Renewables across Singapore's landed estates since 2009 — including multiple systems along Swettenham Road alone, each engineered for a different roof type and energy profile: a 23.92 kWp tile-roof system (2016), a 29.60 kWp metal-roof system (2022), and a 12.98 kWp RC-roof system (2018).
