Pavilion Rise
A 12.83 kWp solar panel installation on a flat RC roof inter-terrace home at Pavilion Rise, Bukit Batok, Singapore, installed by Rezeca Renewables in 2017

Rezeca Renewables installed a 12.83 kWp solar PV system on an inter-terrace home at Pavilion Rise, Singapore, commissioned in 2017. Now in its ninth year of operation, this project is one of the longest-running residential solar installations in Rezeca's portfolio — and a practical answer to one of the most common questions homeowners ask: how do solar panels actually hold up over time in Singapore's heat and humidity?
The flat reinforced concrete (RC) roof provided a straightforward mounting surface, allowing panels to be tilted at optimal angles for Singapore's near-equatorial latitude. Flat RC roofs are common on modern terrace houses and offer several advantages for solar: no complex mounting around roof ridges or valleys, easy access for periodic cleaning, and the ability to orient panels independently of the building's facing direction. For homeowners with flat-roof terrace houses considering solar, this installation type is one of the simplest and most cost-effective configurations available.
At 12.83 kWp, the system generates an estimated 16,000 kWh of solar electricity per year — comfortably covering the majority of daytime household consumption. Surplus energy is exported to the grid under Singapore's grid sell-back scheme. With estimated annual savings of approximately S$5,100, the system paid for itself years ago and now generates free electricity for the homeowner — with over a decade of warranty life still remaining on the panels.
Solar panels degrade gradually over their lifespan, typically losing 0.4–0.5% of output per year. After eight years, this Pavilion Rise system is still operating at approximately 96–97% of its original capacity — consistent with what Tier-1 panel manufacturers guarantee. For homeowners concerned about whether solar is a reliable long-term investment in tropical conditions, this project provides real-world proof.
Rezeca has completed multiple residential solar installations across the Pavilion Park estate in Bukit Batok, including projects on Pavilion Place, Pavilion Green, and Pavilion Circle — making this one of the densest clusters of Rezeca-installed solar homes in a single landed neighbourhood. For similar terrace installations, see our Pemimpin Place projects in the Marymount–Bishan area.
This project is one of over 1,000 residential solar installations completed by Rezeca Renewables across Singapore's landed estates since 2009.
